Product Overview
The Model BJQ Edge Repair Unit is an electrically heated vulcanization device primarily constructed of aluminum alloy, designed for edge repair of conveyor belts. It features a compact size, lightweight design, and user-friendly operation, delivering significant repair effectiveness. It is suitable for repairing edge damage on various types of conveyor belts, as well as longitudinal scratches and tears.
Operation Procedure
Preparation: Fill the damaged area with uncured rubber compound.
Lower Assembly Placement: Position the lower base plate, water pressure plate, and lower heating plate beneath the damaged section of the conveyor belt.

Upper Assembly Placement: Place the upper heating plate and insulation board directly above the repair area. Align the upper base plate with the lower base plate.
Securing the Assembly: Install the locking shells at equal intervals and tighten the adjustment bolts evenly.
Connections:
Connect the power supply to the control box using the primary cables.
Connect the upper and lower heating plates to the control box using the secondary cables.
Connect the water pump to the water pressure plate using the high-pressure hose.
Activation: Switch on the control box and pump water into the pressure plate until the required vulcanization pressure is achieved.
Maintenance & Care
Pre-Use Check: Before operation, measure the insulation resistance of the heating plates. If the value is below 50 MΩ, pre-dry the plates by powering them on until the insulation resistance meets or exceeds this threshold.
Handling: Always handle the equipment with care during transportation and operation.
Weather Protection: For outdoor operations, implement reliable waterproofing and rain protection measures to prevent moisture ingress.
Storage: After use, store the unit in a well-ventilated warehouse with relative humidity ≤85%, protected from rain and snow. Place it on supports (e.g., sleepers); never store it directly on the ground.
