Spot Repair Unit for Conveyor Belts

During conveyor operation, factors such as heavy/lumpy materials, impact from drops, and equipment malfunctions can cause localized point damage or holes in the conveyor belt. This leads to exposed core layers and material leakage. Such damage requires immediate repair, for which the Spot Repair Unit is an optimal tool.

This device enables vulcanized repairs on conveyor belts. It features a simple structure, light weight, and straightforward operation, with a method identical to that of a standard vulcanizing press.

Installation and Operating Procedure:

Transport the repair unit components to the site of damage.

Fill the damaged area with uncured rubber compound.

Position the frame (lower section) beneath the belt, aligned with the prepared damage area. Place the water pressure plate and lower heating plate directly below the damage.

Position the upper heating plate directly on top of the damaged area on the belt. Place the insulation board on top, followed by the upper frame.

Install the tie rods and tighten them securely.

Electrical and Pressure Connections:

Connect the power supply to the control box using the primary cables.

Connect the upper and lower heating plates to the control box using the secondary cables.

Connect the temperature sensors from the upper and lower heating plates to the control box.

Important: Ensure all connections match the labels on the control box.

Connect the water pressure plate to the pressure test pump using the high-pressure hose.

Switch on the control box and pump water into the pressure plate until the required vulcanization pressure is reached.
