Insulation Resistance: It refers to the resistance value exhibited when voltage is applied to the insulated part of the connector, causing leakage current to occur inside or on the surface of the insulated part. It is mainly affected by factors such as insulating materials, temperature, humidity, and damage. The insulation resistance value provided on the connector sample is usually the indicator under standard atmospheric conditions; the insulation resistance value of the 6-pin socket will decrease to varying degrees under certain environmental conditions. In addition, attention should be paid to the test voltage value for insulation resistance.
Withstand Voltage Test: It refers to the critical voltage that the mutually insulated parts of the contact pairs and the grounded parts of the 6-pin socket can withstand for a specified time without breakdown, which is higher than the rated voltage. It is mainly affected by the contact pair spacing, creepage distance, geometric shape, insulator material, operating temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure.
