The threaded connection of the 7-pin aviation socket consists of three parts: the housing, the threaded sleeve and the tail cover. It is a detachable fixed connection and is widely used. To ensure the firm connection between the housing and the tail cover, a gap is left between the threaded sleeve and the tail cover. The threaded sleeve is divided into upper and lower parts along the central axis. A tail cover is arranged inside the housing, and a threaded sleeve is installed between the tail cover and the housing. The inner surface of the housing is provided with internal threads connected to the threaded sleeve, and the outer surface of the threaded sleeve is equipped with British standard threads.

In the threaded connection structure of the 7-pin aviation socket, an inner annular groove connected to the tail cover is arranged on the inner layer. This design allows the housing and the tail cover to rotate relatively, facilitating quick alignment and mating of the 7-pin aviation plug. Therefore, it has the advantages of simple structure, high connection reliability, convenient disassembly, light weight, and high contact pair density.
According to different structural characteristics, threads can be divided into various types. For example, based on the cross-sectional shape, threads can be classified into triangular, rectangular, trapezoidal, sawtooth threads, etc. According to the direction of the helix, they can be divided into left-hand threads and right-hand threads. The definition of these two types of threads is: when the thread is standing upright, the helix rising to the right is a right-hand thread, and the one rising to the left is a left-hand thread. Right-hand threads are usually used in mechanical manufacturing and are very common, while left-hand threads are only adopted when required in the mechanical manufacturing process.
According to the number of helices, threads can be divided into single-start threads and multi-start threads arranged at equal intervals. Generally, the number of starts of a thread does not exceed 4, which is mainly for the convenience of production and manufacturing. The threaded connection structure of the 7-pin aviation plug features light weight, wide frequency band, excellent mechanical and electrical performance, and simple operation. Therefore, it is applied in aviation, radar, digital communication, video processing, medical equipment, instrumentation and other fields. It can also be used in connection parts for inspection, inflation, sealing, calibration or emptying.
