Tape vulcanizing machines are widely used in various on-site splicing applications for conveyor belts, including in gold processing, chemical industries, metal mining, power plants, ports, and terminals. The tensile strength of the vulcanized joint is no less than 90% of the original belt, and the joint surface is smooth. Proper protection and use of the tape vulcanizing machine can reduce drum wear and extend the service life of both the conveyor belt and the rubber belt. The vulcanization speed can serve as an indicator for diagnosing faults in the tape vulcanizing machine. During operation, if the vulcanization speed is slow, one might instinctively suspect an issue with the equipment. However, this is not always the case. The vulcanization time is a critical factor affecting the performance of the four-column tape vulcanizing machine. If the time is too short, vulcanization will be insufficient; if too long, over-vulcanization may occur. For every 10°C increase in curing temperature, the vulcanization time is reduced by approximately half. Higher sulfur content accelerates vulcanization and increases the degree of curing. However, since sulfur has limited solubility in rubber, excess sulfur may precipitate on the rubber surface.

The beam of the tape vulcanizing machine is made of high-strength, high-plasticity aluminum alloy, while the heating plates are crafted from high-purity, high-thermal-conductivity aluminum alloy. The machine is compact, with uniform temperature distribution across the heating plate surface. The hydraulic pressure is supplied by an electric or manual pump, and the system is equipped with a precision digital automatic electronic control box. The connection between the control box and the main unit uses an integrated multi-core plug-in cable, ensuring easy operation and reliable performance. Additionally, the machine features rapid heating, even temperature distribution, and high thermal efficiency, making it an ideal bonding device for conveyor belt joints. The quality of the belt joint directly impacts the belt's service life, operational efficiency, and economic benefits.

Maintenance of Tape Vulcanizing Machines:

Pre-Use Inspection: Before use, check the insulation resistance of the heating plates. If the resistance is too low, dry the plates by heating until the insulation value is below 50 MΩ.

Handling and Operation: Handle with care during use and transportation, and operate in a civilized manner.

On-Site Protection: Implement reliable waterproof and moisture-proof measures at the worksite to prevent rain ingress and dampness.

Storage Conditions: After use, store the machine in a warehouse with relative humidity not exceeding 85%, protected from rain. Avoid placing the machine directly on the ground; use supports or pallets.

To maintain the hydraulic system of the tape vulcanizing machine:

Install fine filters at the pump's suction and discharge ports. The oil inlet should be positioned at a certain distance from the bottom of the oil tank to prevent hard particles from damaging the seal lips and sliding surfaces.

Install a high-pressure fine filter at the discharge port to prevent blockages that could cause hydraulic system failures.

Equip the hydraulic oil tank with a strainer to remove impurities not filtered by the return oil filter.

Before installing hydraulic components, inspect and clean them to remove internal debris such as iron chips.

Regularly check the hydraulic oil. If foaming, sedimentation, or oil-water separation is observed, clean the system and replace the oil immediately.

Before adding new oil to the tank, allow it to settle and then filter it. If necessary, use an intermediate tank for settling and filtering new oil to ensure its cleanliness.
